Meet the Team
George and Evan teamed up in 2021 during the campaign to save, restore, and redevelop "The Columns" property on Cape Cod, a historical project of which George was the owner and lead proponent. With their collective years of experience in real estate, law, residential and commercial property investment, development, historic preservation and planning, George and Evan started Northeast Advisors with the intention to serve and advise their clients in all matters real estate.

George N. Vasvatekis
PRESIDENT | OWNER | BROKER
George has been working in real estate sales since 2010 as both an agent and a broker and has extensive experience in development, historical restoration, investment properties and property management. With a unique blend of private sector, political consulting, government and military experience, George can offer insight and advice on a variety of matters.

He has the ability to serve in a variety of roles with a focus on collective goals and positive results. George is an ardent proponent of preservation and has advocated for the preservation, restoration and redevelopment of historically significant properties for the better part of the last decade. He holds memberships with several organizations within the community, including the South Shore Realtors Association and the Chambers of Commerce for Plymouth, Cape Cod and Nantucket. He is a four-time recipient of the Paul & Niki Tsongas Award for historic preservation, and the recipient of the 41st annual Massachusetts Historical Commission Preservation Award.

In 2018, George was named as a “Next Generation” leader in historic preservation and real estate development. In 2022, he was recognized by Cape and Plymouth Business Media as a 40 under 40 awardee. A passionate supporter of theater and the arts, he enthusiastically serves on the Board of Directors of “On the Isle,” a theater company and actor’s colony in the village of Siasconset on Nantucket. And in 2023, George was honored to receive an appointment, by Governor Charles D. Baker, to the Board of Trustees at Cape Cod Community College.
George is proud to serve as a commissioned Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve out of Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island. His works and pursuits have been held in high regard and have seen widespread recognition by a multitude of print and media outlets throughout the country.

Evan J. Dean
VICE PRESIDENT | OWNER | BROKER
Evan, a Cape Cod native, has always had a passion for the Northeast and his community, where he coached youth sports, and participated in the local rotary club as a teenager. His local background and knowledge allow him to offer unique insight into the Cape, and its many intricacies. His wish is to provide a first-class experience to Northeast Advisors’ clients, and to help them achieve their real estate aspirations.
Evan is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and started his career after law school in Chatham, MA working on matters related to real estate, zoning and land use. He then obtained his Massachusetts Real Estate Broker's License, in order to fully advise and represent his clients in real estate sales. Prior to his career in law and real estate, he worked in hospitality for a successful family business on Cape Cod. Evan has additional experience in residential real estate investment, home improvement, and construction.
He also serves as Gallery Director of The Borsari Gallery, a historic and award-winning private events space in his hometown of Dennis. Additionally, he holds memberships with several organizations within the community, including the Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors, Realtors Association of Southeastern Massachusetts and the Chambers of Commerce for Plymouth, Cape Cod and Nantucket.
Evan is a voracious sports fan, loves to read books on history, and enjoys spending his free time exploring the outdoors and all New England has to offer with his Border Collie, Nash.

John G. Flores, Ph.D.
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - STRATEGIC ADVISING
John has spent his entire career in the world of education and business. As the former CEO of the United States Distance Learning Association, he led a global association focused on the multi-billion-dollar distance learning industry. Moreover, he was the former Executive Dean and Professor at Nova Southeastern University’s Fischler School of Education & Human Resources where he also taught courses in finance and strategic leadership.

Appointed by Governor William Weld and then Governor Paul Cellucci as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Corporation for Educational Telecommunications he focused on the development and application of educational technology initiatives for all Massachusetts K12 schools, State Colleges, and numerous other State Agencies. John also served as a K-12 Superintendent of Schools in Massachusetts in his previous professional career. In addition, John is an experienced and successful real estate investor in Boston & Cape Cod. As a former owner and partner of F&B Realty, he successfully created and maintained a portfolio of real estate holdings.

Further, as President of the Barnstable Town Council he served on several Council committees all of which dealt with issues facing Cape Cod and the Islands especially water quality and housing. He currently is an appointed Commissioner of the Barnstable Municipal Airport and the Barnstable Licensing Authority. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Cape Cod Community College and the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. John received his B.S. from UMass Boston, his M.Sc. from Boston University and his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut.

Gerry T. Leavitt
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE
Gerry has lived on the South Shore of Massachusetts for the majority of his life. He grew up in South Weymouth and currently resides in East Bridgewater where he and his wife raised their 2 children.
Gerry worked for 18 years in the financial services industry. He then transitioned into the software industry where he has worked for the past 12 years. His job responsibilities have included Voice of the Customer, Customer Experience, as well as management of Global Training and Enablement teams.
​
In March of 2006, Gerry was appointed to the Town of East Bridgewater Zoning Board of Appeals by the Board of Selectman. He has subsequently been re-appointed for multiple terms. With over 15-plus years of service and experience on the Board, Gerry currently holds the position of Vice-Chair.
​
Gerry is an avid sports fan, and enjoys watching all the local teams throughout each season. He has a passion for playing golf, and while he admits he is far from a pro, he always hits a few good shots to keep him coming back to the course for more.
Additionally, Gerry has been involved in coaching youth sports, such as basketball, baseball and football; and can often be found at a game cheering on the local teams. Gerry's other interests include reading books on history, spy novels, and catching the latest critically acclaimed film in theaters.
Most importantly, Gerry is especially proud of his family, and their accomplishments. His wife is a speech-language pathologist, working with preschool aged special-needs children. His daughter is a registered nurse for a pediatric emergency department, and his son is a physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery.
Gerry is excited to bring his multi-disciplinary work and life experience to the Northeast Advisors team, to help serve and advise his clients.

Leroy Wallace Jr.
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE
Leroy grew up in Quincy and has been a lifelong resident on the South Shore, which has resulted in him growing a deep passion for the area. Professionally, Leroy has a diverse skillset, having nearly a decade of experience in plumbing and fire protection design, coupled with a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maine. Leroy brings a unique blend of technical expertise and local knowledge to the Northeast Advisors team, and the clients he serves.
Leroy's journey in real estate began with personal investments in small multifamily properties, which he has been actively managing and growing since 2019. This hands-on experience has provided him with a keen eye for identifying sound opportunities in the local real estate market and a deep understanding of the needs and concerns of property investors.
One of Leroy's distinguishing features is his commitment to the community he calls home, the South Shore. He has always had a strong bond with the area and through his professional career, has actively contributed to its growth and development therein. In addition to his professional pursuits, Leroy worked for several years at the Norfolk County Sheriff's Department Leadership Academy, further solidifying his dedication to community.
Leroy's expertise on the South Shore, and his multifaceted background make him an asset to clients seeking to buy, sell, or invest in real estate in the area. His unique combination of technical knowledge, local expertise, and a genuine love for the community ensures that clients receive top-notch service and guidance in their real estate endeavors.

An avid sports fan with a special passion for the Red Sox and Bruins, Leroy follows the local teams closely, and in his free time, you can find him spending time on the golf course, savoring the challenges the game offers. Leroy is also an active member of NARPM, demonstrating his commitment to staying informed and connected within the real estate management industry.

Anne C. Cave
SALES ASSOCIATE
Anne, a born-and-bred Massachusetts native, has lived and worked across the Commonwealth and has found herself intimately involved in whatever community she resided at each stop. She is a passionate and enthusiastic citizen, who finds her greatest joy in meeting, and connecting with others. Her work and life experience have provided her with a unique skillset when it comes to managing relationships, and real estate transactions. She first became a licensed real estate agent in 1984 and has been in love with the industry ever since. Anne grew up around the real estate profession, and was inspired by her father, who developed the licensing system for appraisers in Massachusetts and held the License #1 until his retirement. Her breadth of experience makes her uniquely qualified to handle any and all obstacles that arise for her clients with skill and grace.

Prior to her career in real estate, Anne received a Master of Education from Harvard University. Directly out of school, she went to work in the Massachusetts prison systems as a teacher and followed her experience there by teaching elementary school in the public school systems in both the Berkshires and Boston suburbs.
​
Anne currently makes her home on Bass River on Cape Cod, and is very involved in the gardening community, and other local service activities. She loves to spend her free time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, sailing their beetle cat sailboat or traveling to Wyoming to enjoy her favorite view of the Grand Tetons.

Mara E. Schmidt
SALES ASSOCIATE
Mara brings to real estate, a host of skills, and a relentless pursuit of excellence and results, honed through her experiences on the court as a professional WTA tennis player and coach. A native of California, Mara's tennis career took her to Florida, as a child, to start her training at the Bollettieri Academy (now IMG). Recruited by Purdue University as one of the Top-50 collegiate prospects in the United States, Mara achieved great success in her collegiate tennis career, earning her undergraduate degree, All Big-Ten Academic Honors, three times, and winning a Big-Ten Championship for the first-time in the history of Purdue University. After college, Mara went on to play professionally on the WTA tennis tour, racking up WTA multiple doubles titles and reaching WTA professional rankings of #471 and #724. No stranger to high-pressure situations, Mara’s tennis career has tested her resolve, sharpened and solidified her unique skillset and helped her build a strong national and international network of trusted partners and clients.

Her personal and professional journey, in tennis, brought her to the Island of Nantucket, and the Village of 'Sconset, in the Summer of 2016, as a tennis professional, at the prestigious Siasconset Casino. Instantly falling in love with the “Casino" and ‘Sconset that first Summer, Mara advanced from a seasonal tennis professional to Assistant General Manager of the "Casino", a role in which she continues to serve in.
When off the court, and out of the office, Mara enjoys travel, keeping active and all that the year-round community of Nantucket and ‘Sconset have to offer.
